Who owns IASSC?

The International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC®) was founded by Robert Shank and Scot Shank with the objective of establishing recognized standards for Lean Six Sigma certification and advancing professionalism within the industry.

In 2020, IASSC was acquired by PeopleCert, a global leader in the certification of professional skills and exam delivery. Following the acquisition, IASSC became part of the expanding portfolio of best practice certifications of PeopleCert.

Today, the IASSC Lean Six Sigma certifications are owned, governed, and managed by PeopleCert. Leveraging the global infrastructure, advanced technology, and rigorous quality assurance framework of PeopleCert, the IASSC certification scheme continues to support the development of Lean Six Sigma professionals worldwide. Accredited training is delivered through the extensive global network of PeopleCert accredited training organizations, ensuring consistent, high-quality standards worldwide.

PeopleCert is dedicated to continuing IASSC’s legacy of growing and enhancing the standards within the Lean Six Sigma community worldwide.
